He's an independent running for the Republican ticket and yet he's doing extremely well. In recent memory, the only candidate who could compare to Paul's success is Ross Perot. A poll released by Rasmussen shows that Romney is leading by 23% in Iowa followed by Gingrich's 20% and Paul's 18% (an amazing increase of 8% since the last debates). Ron Paul's support could be strong enough for him to run in a three-way presidential race. He would have to meet the 15% threshold though.
